Suggest Treatment For Genital Infection

Question: Hi,

I can barely feel the head of my penis when I pee. Feels like the pressure is coming from the base as opposed to flowing through the head of my penis. Zero sensation. Penis will not flex when I try to. Feels like the bottom side of the penile shaft where my urethra is at is very soft. It is hard to maintain erections. I'm starting to wonder if some of this is mental but it's been like 3 days and the same symptoms are occurring. Haven't got my morning erections either. Which were regular. Help! I'm 27.

Brief Answer:
Any history of recent trauma locally?

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.

Your case:
- 27 years old male
- problems with erection
- can't feel head of penis when urinating.
- penis will not flex

Everything sounds like you might traumatized your genitals recently.
Uro genital Infection should get further checked together with a good neurological examination.

Please let me know if you experienced trauma locally? if you have a personal history of urinary tract or genital Infection? any other illness?

Thank you.

Hi Dr. Albana,

I am very sexually active. I Masturbate frequently (2-3) times a day. Physically fit. I have a pretty big penis (about 6-7 in, girthy). This has never been an issue in the past.

I have however had a yeast infection from having sex with a girl who had an acidic vagina? Or something along those lines. I have also had clymydia 2. I am not circumsized, and have had bilantis from time to time. Haven't been tested in over 2.5 yrs.

I can still get hard when I physically stroke my penis, but it's very weak and I would have to be very aroused. It is very flaccid almost hanging and doesn't react to me flexing it. I used to look at a girl and have desires and be able to get eroused (hard) on my own.

I have had performance anxiety before but 9/10 I was fully erect. I feel like this is different.

Brief Answer:
There are 2 main following reasons causing problems with erection

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

I am sorry for the late reply.

Thank you for providing the additional information.

From what you are referring, there are 2 things in your case causing problems with flexing penis:
1. Frequent masturbation
2. Psychological issues (type of anxiety although not the same as in the past).

So, to my opinion, you should:
- not get masturbated so frequently; instead go for sexual intercourse
- try not to get stressed or think over your genitalia when you try to arouse and let the things go smooth naturally; do not get stressed unnecessarily.
- continue checking for balanitis and chlamyidia and candida from time in time and treat them adequately if any.

Hope this helps.

I have heard of something called pelvic steal syndrome where the legs steal the blood flow to the penis. It almost feels as tho this is happening. Is this a disorder or will relaxing the pelvic region fix this situation. Got a blood test, everything is ok. Still waiting to get my pee/swap results back but I'm starting to feel like it's more psychological, as I immediately think about getting a boner or maintaining a boner instead of just being aroused and trying to ejaculate. Although I'm still not able to visually be turned on to the point of a boner. But I think I'm somehow restricting the blood flow to my penis mentally. Any thoughts?

Brief Answer:
I'm still thinking of psychological problems in your case....

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

When it comes to steal syndrome, there are 2 points to consider:
1. the real organic problem with ischemia that should be identified by clinical findings and Doppler ultrasound
2. the psychological pattern

I'm still thinking of overreacting and psychological problem instead of a real organic damage in your case.

However, to stay psychologically in peace, you can run a Doppler ultrasound of the blood vessels in the lower extremities.

Hope this helped.
