Such symptoms are seen in cellulitis, a bacterial infections.
I would like to know if you have any other symptoms like pain and fever.
I treat such cases with oral antibiotics and analgesics.
It gives good response.

If there is no pain there is nothing to worry.
Yes you can take ciprofloxacin for a week.
Apply ointment mupirocine twice daily for a week.
This will give faster relief.
