There is a treatment named prolotherapy which includes injection of glucose (dextrose) in to joints to cause regeneration of the cartilages in patients affected with osteoarthtitis.

In a recent research it is concluded and I quote that "dextrose prolotherapy may result in safe, significant, sustained improvement of knee pain, function, and stiffness scores. "

Therefore 3 rounds of treatment should make you feel better and decrease your knee pain and discomfort.
