Hi, I am Dr. Gopal Goel, Orthopedic Surgeon.
Acute gout is not a contraindication for Knee replacement but if there is any infection (like pus formation) then TKR will not be done as the chances of infection in the Implant will go up. If there is no infection but only raised Serum Uric Acid, you can go ahead with TKR. And you can take Indocin.
