Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I have taken note of your query and I understand that you are concerned about hair fall.
In males progressive hair fall and gradual thinning is commonly due to androgenetic alopecia which is genetically determined patterned hair loss i.e hair loss occurs in a particular pattern Or distribution.
Androgenetic alopecia is gradually progressive hair loss and thinning mainly from the center of scalp i.e front, mid and vertex of scalp. It is also associated with gradual recession of anterior hair line at frontal scalp.
There is usually a family history in affected patients i.e in father, brother or cousins.
Approved medical treatment options for androgenetic alopecia include topical 5% minoxidil solution and oral finasteride. Treatment is long term.
Diet usually has no role in androgenetic alopecia.
Goal of medical treatment in androgenetic alopecia is to arrest Or slow down further progression, therefore, earlier the treatment is started better the long term prognosis.
Diagnosis of androgenetic alopecia is obvious by clinical examination and requires no laboratory tests. I suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your vicinity for a confimatory diagnosis and for the needful.
