Question : I have been taking thyroid medicine for 40 years, I moved 4 years ago and the new Doctor said I did not need the medicine. I have been losing my hair, have very dry skin, cold all the time.

To be able to determine whether you need to continue the thyroid medication, I would need you to get the thyroid profile tested. Please get this blood test done and share the reports.
