Question : Hi - I have been recently diagnosed with diabetes. I take 10 units of Lantus, Victoza & 2000 mg Metformin. I am experiencing quite a bit of hair loss & wondering what is causing this. My fasting number is around 100 & after meals around 130.

If your thyroid and iron are ok then the most likely cause is your genes. The pattern of hair loss may be significant regarding the diagnosis. Focal loss can be caused by different disorders. The extent of this symptom is equally important. Significant hair loss means that your pillow would be full of hair when you wake up.
