Suggest Treatment For Hard Knot Near The Vagina

Question : I have a hard knot on the right side of my vagina. I had a hysterectomy in 1987 and my ovaries removed in 1998. I had a vaginal exam and a pap smear about a year & half ago. My GP has relocated to a urgent care center 100 miles away. I have not really established with another doctor since she left. Is this something I need to be concerned with like cancer or probably nothing?

Thanks for the query to HCM,
this could be BARTHOLIN'S CYST and needs to be confirmed by a local examination. If so, then the treatment is surgical with incision and marsupialization of the cyst.
