Question : I have a small relatively hard moveable lump on my collarbone. It has been there for at least a couple of years and hasn't grown and isn't sore. It is sometimes visible even when I'm not trying to find it. I can move it on top of my collarbone and even 'tuck' it under/beside the bone.

Brief Answer:
May be a Lymph node/ Cyst/ lipoma.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

To recapitulate your history: 20 years Female - since couple of years- small - relatively hard - movable - can move on collarbone and even tuck under/ beside - not sore - sometimes visible even when not trying to find it out- has not grown ...

Such a lump can be due to either of the following things:
Lymph node
Lipoma
inclusion cyst/ Dermoid

I would advise you the following things:
High Resolution Ultrasonography (USG) - this can tell us the probable diagnosis. With Colour Doppler mode to see its relation to the nearby blood vessels for helping us in diagnosis, guide for FNAC/ Excision Biopsy.
FNAC if USG is so suggests.
Clinical Examination by a Surgeon.

Excision helps in 2 ways:
1) One gets the disease out and
2) we get a histopathology diagnosis to be certain about it.

I hope this answer helps you for getting an early diagnosis, and early proper treatment. Please feel to ask for more if you need to.
