Suggest Treatment For Hard Painful Lump On Anus

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Apr 2015
Question: Hi i have a large hard and painful lump sort of near my anus. I have had hemerroids before but thiis mass is fairly large and is more off to the side and above the anus not around the hole. It is not bleeding and no signs of any discharge but since last night it is becoming more painful and appears to be turning a slight purplish red color. I tried prepration H but that did nothing. i have had no strainful bowel movments and thought maybe it was an ingrown hair but could not find anything.

Brief Answer:
It's an Abscess which needs to be drained Out

Detailed Answer:
HI

First of all thanks for choosing Healthcaremagic for posting your query.

It seems like an Abscess which is localised collection of pus. Looking at the description it seems like the Abscess is quite big and may rupture anytime. I would advice you consult your doctor as the pus has to be drained out and started on Antibiotic Course.

Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarifications feel free to ask .

Regards.
