Question : have a hard spot in my arm. Looks to be in a vein. its not under the service of the skin.

2 days old lump with the characters that you explained can be due to:

- infected sebaceous cyst
- if you feel vein, it would have been compressible and colored blue. But if local thrombosis, which can be idiopathic, meaning the cause is not known, can be hard and tender.

I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Since you are travelling for work, try to take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you.
Do not fondle as the inflammation can increase.

Get a confirmation by clinical evaluation and examination, preferably by a General Surgeon ASAP so that prescription based medicines can be started as per the necessity.

If needed high resolution ultrasound helps tremendously to get a confirmed diagnosis and a plan for treatment as needed.

It is compressible and has a like coloring to it. Yellowish purple color. If I compress my arm and bulge the veins it is in direct line with one of my veins and also bulges out. When I say it is XXXXXXX I might be misunderstanding. I can put my finger on it and move it around. But my veins do the same thing. I'm not sure.

Thanks for a very clear followup.

This is suggestive of a dilated part of vein, say a saccular part of it.
There may not be a definite cause of it. Loss of the supporting connective tissues can cause this.
