Question : My wife has had a bad head cold and coughing for days, no temperature. Now she is complaining about pain in her left arm and into the top of her chest. She is 66 years old and good health overall. Just wondering if you thought I should worry about a heart problem and take her to a hospital
Brief Answer:
Get ECG done.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
Chest pain radiating to left arm at age of 66 years should always be evaluated for cardiac problems.
Incidents of heart attack increases in winters. She also has history of hot and cold exposure.
This can be an anginal pain.
So you should not wait.
You should see your doctor now who will get her ECG, ECHO and Chest Xray done.
Get tested and write back with reports.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
