Question : The right side of my head or neck is extremely painful when I turn my head to the right. It follows a line from right behind the top of my right ear down behind my ear tand around the bottom of my ear. It feels muscular maybe. Not sure. On pain score 1-10, I would say a 8 when I turn my head.

As background, a year ago I had been diagnosed with mild blockage in my right corated artery. I guess that is why I am asking you. Don't want to be assuming it is muscular if sounds urgent. Hoping you have more questions to ask me so we can tell without going to an ER.

Brief Answer:
This has nothing to do with the heart..Take Ibuprofen and Tylenol!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this pain. I understand how worried you are because of the heart blockage but this pain is not typical or suggestive of a heart attack. Its location, its nature and the mere fact that you can provoke the pain purely eliminates a possible heart related pain and takes away any possible urgency. take tylenol and Ibuprofen to control this pain and report progress accordingly. Unless something else should add unto what you have reported, there is no reason to seek for emergency medical intervention.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
