Brief Answer:
Relax. Its not high.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.

I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will answering your query.

Your resting pulse of 100 indicates, you are anxious and under possible stress.

Blood pressure above 180/110 is dangerous and will require emergency treatment.

Until then, you need to relax. I am not sure about your medications and your usual blood pressure. Hope you have taken it regularly.

Relax and check the blood pressure. The pulse rate should go to less than 70 or your usual resting pulse rate, then only blood pressure would be accurate enough.

Medication for headache should be helpful. NSAID like paracetamol or any painkiller can be taken.

However, if you have any weakness in any limbs, or any loss of sensation - you will need to go to ER immediately. Possibility of stroke needs to be evaluated.

Relax and sleep. If blood pressure further rises or you have any other symptoms, you need to go to ER.

If more medical history, medications details and previous blood pressure history and other chronic illnesses details are available, I can comment further.

Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.

Thank you but it was not anxiety. it was pain from worsening cluster headache and awakening with sleep apnea that was causing both bp and pulse rate to spike. Both cluster headache at night and sleep apnea are what i causing my body to go into stress mode at night according to my regular doctor. I ended up going ti er where bp was at 180 /100 when i got there. and yes for me that is high or worse than usual until last week or so where my headache pain is getting worse at night as well as more frequent. just got call that dme is coming to tomorrow to set me up with a cpap machine so hoping that will help a lot. thank you .

Brief Answer:
Try weight reduction, avoid alcohol

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for replying.

Looking at the pulse rate and blood pressure, I could assume it was only stress and anxiety. Did not have all details to comment and I do not want to increase the blood pressure medication.

Hope the sleep apnea reduces with CPAP. Along with if overweight, try weight reduction, and moderate exercises. Avoid alcohol and start baby aspirin, if not using it.

If you do have any further queries, you can close the discussion and rate the answer.
Hope your sleep improves.
Take care.
