Question : I read that j-pouch patients shouldn't use ibuprophen. What can I take for headaches and joint pain when needed?
Brief Answer:
Paracetamol
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
Ibuprophen in a non steroidal anti inflammatory which should be used sparingly in patients with J pouch.
I prescribe Tab Paracetamol 500 mg for mild headaches and for severe ones I prescribe Tab tramadol. Tramadol is an opiod analgesic which requires a prescription.
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
