Suggest Treatment For Headache And Large Spot On The Thigh

Question: Have had very bad headache (unusual for me) for three days. This morning noticed a large red spot at top of my thigh - looks like it could be some kind of bite but its not sore. Also, two small bites on my forehead - also not sore. Had night sweats all night last night.....could this all be related. Does it sound like a reaction to some kind of bite?

I can understand your concern.

I have gone through the pictures. It would have been great had I examined them on my own.
Yes they can be due to insect bite.

Do not worry much.

I would suggest you to
- take tablet Paracetamol to relieve the headache
- try relaxation techniques to ease off the stress
- get your blood pressure and blood glucose checked
- I would start tablet Taxim-O and ointment Mupirocin to apply locally.

Why have blood glucose checked? You think symptoms could be caused by glucose levels? Diabetes runs in my family but I have never had any issues.

Can you tell me what Taxim-O is - is there a common name for this? I have put an antibiotic cream and a bendadryl cream.

High blood glucose favours thriving of microorganisms. So a routine check.

Detailed Answer:
You need not worry much. Blood glucose check is a part of routine screening as a high blood glucose level helps the micro-organisms to flourish.

Taxim- O has a generic name in Cefixime (200). An Antibiotic.

I would suggest you to apply Mupirocin ointment .
