Question: I have been having headaches and neck pain for the last year off and on. And now I am staring to have pain down my spine and in my shoulders. I have been to therapy multiple doctors with no definite answers yet. I have had to work quit because driving makes it worse. I have had X-rays done by a chiropractor which he said I have spina bifida accoulta in my neck, I also have had an MRI done which showed degenerative disc disease and one dr said maybe something wrong with my t1 and t2 vertebrae.

Brief Answer:
See for vitamin D levels.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. It may be due to muscle weakness and degenerative disc disease as suggested by your MRI. I suggest you to get your vitamin D level. Unexplained pains are sometimes due to vitamin D deficiency. If found low you can take supplements of vitamin D3.
You are likely to be benefitted by analgesic such as ibuprofen and anxiolytics such as alprazolam after consulting your doctor as such pain are related to anxiety and anxiolytics are beneficial. Diacerine and glucosamine slows down degenerative changes hence beneficial. You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.

Thank you. I have tried many different medicines. I am currently taken a prescription of vitiman d. I've tried ibpurehen, many different muscle relaxers, and other higher dose pain meds. Could I have a disease of the trapezius muscles ?? I have heard up on it and it seems to fit my pain and symptoms.

Brief Answer:
Can be trapezius muscle pain.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Yes you can have trapezius muscle disease ( spasm). Treatment of it is injection tramcilone locally. But what is your vitamin D level as vitamin Deficiency causes unexplained pain. If you have deficiency then take correct dose to treat deficiency.
Everything else already discussed.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
