Suggest Treatment For Headache With Ear Pain

Question: Hey dr,
I've woken up with a bit of headache along with feeling slightly congested and a slightly sore ear. Now I have a flight in 5 hours and I am prone to getting ear complications such as etd. So I was wondering what I should take to prevent discomfort? I was thinking Pandol and Sudafed that has pseudoephedrine. I mainly have the headache at the moment but would it be worth taking both or just the Pandol before the flight and how long before exactly? Also would it be worth using the air ear plugs as well?
Kind Regards,
XXXX

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome
I appreciate your concern
Pseudoephedrine plus ibuprofen I'd available would be the better option based on the description of the symptoms.
If it's not available then pseudoephedrine with paracetamol would be a good alternative.
If there are no obvious symptoms then XXXXXXX plugs would not be needed if you take the medication. You may not wait for the flight. Take the medication now.
wishing you best of health
Thanks
