Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Headache can have many causes, only the classification of the headaches takes over 150 pages, just so you can create an idea on how difficult it can be to pinpoint the cause rightaway. What is important on the first evaluation is to check for signs of threatening causes such ad stroke, tumor etc. Also causes such as blood pressure changes, anemia, sinusitis, cervical spine issues must be considered.

If no such signs are found then treatment with pain killers such as cloton is a good decision waiting to see how the situation will progress.

So a reason to change the doctor would be only if you felt that he took things lightly without examining her. Or another reason if seen by a general physician would be taking a neurologist's opinion. Otherwise you should rediscuss the lack of improvement with the first doctor and see what additional steps he might suggest.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.

You're welcome.

The dosage of Clotan (tolfenamic acid), it is taken one tablet to relieve the headache. If persistent another tablet can be taken in 2 hours. The daily dose should not exceed 3 tablets.

As for the CT scan, of course you can, I didn't mention it because I didn't want to rush you into making futile exams if your doctors finds nothing on history and physical exam. A CT would help exclude a brain tumor or stroke, it would also visualize sinusitis. Since the headache is persisting for 10 days it is reasonable to consider doing it. Of course that is if more simple stuff which does not need expensive exams is considered first, like blood pressure fluctuations, anemia, infection, issues which can be excluded through physical exams and some routine blood tests.

I hope your wife gets better soon.
