Suggest Treatment For Headaches And High Blood Sugar Levels
Question: I'm 63 female. Blood sugar running from 250-450 today. I also take hydrocodone 10/325. I have headache and affecting eye sight. My urine has increased with sweet smell. How should address this tonight?

I read carefully your concern and i can understand your situation.
The high blood sugar you noticed during the last days may be due to high dose of hydrocortisone, urinary infection or any other cause that should be found. The problems with the eye sight and headache is due to high sugar level.
The metformine dose you reported (1000 mgx5) is too high, out of the maximum recommend dose.
For the moment i would recommend to seak medical help, the ketones in urine should be checked and if high insulin should be started immediately.
For the future treatment you need to check the HbA1c level, do a check up of renal and liver function and change the treatment depending on the above results.
