Brief Answer:
CT scan, neurosurgeon, pain killers, anti inflammatory drugs, physiotherapy

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,

I understand how disturbing this could be. However, I think it is important to carefully evaluate and know the exact extent of the disease in order to tailor and appropriate treatment and follow up plan.

Getting a CT scan done and an MRI of the neck is important. This shall serve as baseline before treatment is started. This would be important to know how the disease advances.

Initial treatment usually consists of simple pain killers , analgesics like Acetaminophen or associated with non steroidal Anti inflammatory drugs. A careful evaluation is however needed for these anti inflammatory drugs can cause gastritis or at times aggravate kidney disease if it exists before.

Physiotherapy and regular massages are at times helpful. Other symptoms like feeling of having electric discharge could at times need a surgical intervention. Booking an appointment with a neurosurgeon for a complete clinical review, get CT scans and MRI done to check disease intensity and draw a treatment and follow up plan are useful. Implicating a physiotherapist in the treatment plan could also be useful.

You might start to use simple analgesics and anti inflammatory drugs as you await to see a neurosurgeon.

Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health.
