Suggest Treatment For Hearing Loss In An Infant
Question: Dear doctor,
We identified our child is not responding for sounds when he was 8 months old...now he is 12 months old...we took all the audiometry test including CAEP,result shows hair cells not functioning, severe to profound hearing loss.they suggested Cochlear Implant.Is there any other solution?....

Before giving the solution to you I need to clarify some points.
As there is no proven studies in Ayurveda to treat hearing loss in 12 month child.
Evidence of hearing loss treated in adults and adolescent were present in ayurveda depends on the cause.
However ,in your case even though we rule out the cause for the hearing loss no such medication is available at this age.
If the hearing loss is associated with other systemic involvement like speech and abnormality in development better to go for cochlear implant.
Congenital problem only with the hearing loss may straight a way go for the implantation without any delay.
No oral or external medication will give you solution.
