Question : I have a stethoscope and listened to my heartbeat. It is very quiet. The only place i can hear it decently is right below my left breastbone. How loud should it be?

Because you got the heartbeat, that is good enough. How loud comes with experience and the quality of your stethoscope. However, first trials often leave you thinking it wasn’t loud enough.. Subsequent trials would offer better results. Be calm and relaxed about this.
