Question : I took Plan B 2 days ago the morning after the accident. Felt fine all day but woke up in the middle of the night and had heavy cramping. I went to the bathroom and a fist size blood clot came out. I am still bleeding and it goes from light to heavy and have cramping similar to my menstrual cramps. I am most concerned about the clot or whatever it was that I passed. Should I be worried or is this normal?

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
It's not uncommon to have irregular bleeding and passage of clots after taking the plan B. If you are not bleeding or passing additional clots I would continue to observe for now.

I would recommend you see your primary care doctor in the next week for a basic examination. He may want to check some lab tests as well to make sure there are no other concerns.

Again irregular bleeding and clot passage are very common with this class of medications. In most cases there is no cause for further concern but to see your doctor would be prudent.
