Question: what do I do about a hematoma on the big toe (not under the nail)? I had a small hematoma last Sunday after rock climbing, and now there seems to be a secondary hematoma in the same area

Brief Answer: Hematoma is self resolving Detailed Answer: Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic. Nothing actually needs to be done here. Just give rest to your feet. If it is painful you can take an oral anti-inflammatory e.g ibupofen, which is available OTC and would be useful for pain. Hematomas are self resolving. You could take an oral Vit C once daily for a few days. regards
