Question : Left thumb of my daughter who is 5 and 1/2 year old is accidentally pressed between door and there is blue scar on it and having pain, could you please advice the line of treatment for her as there it no movement issue but seems there is blood clot on the nail.

Hi...as you have rightly pointed out this could be a hematoma of the nail bed and need not be worried about.
You can do the following -
1. Put an ice pack over it to reduce pain.
2. Give some Paracetamol or Ibuprofen to reduce pain.
3. Do not try to bandage the area or remove the clot.
4. Apply thrombophobe ointment for early healing.
5. If fever persists after 48 hours or if there is pus formation - kindly see your paediatrician.
If you can get back with the weight I will suggest the appropriate dose of pain remedy.
