Brief Answer:
Avoid alcohol to prevent the progression of fatty liver to cirrhosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome
I have gone through your query.

Fatty liver is usually the beginning stages of alcohol induced liver damage and is completely reversible if the patient refrains from alcohol.
I would suggest you to avoid alcohol.

High caloric intake, high fatty food intake and poor exercise regimens lead to deposition of fat goblets in the liver tissue leading to fatty liver. This is also completely reversible in the initial stages if caloric intake is limited and exercise regimens are adhered to. If left un-checked, patients usually become obese, diabetic and in final stages may lead to cirrhosis of the liver.

Apart from stopping alcohol I would suggest you
Eat only healthy foods, avoid fatty processed foods. Avoid meat for 15 days, add more fibres to your diet.
Exercise regularly every day If you are overweight ,you need to lose weight.
Drink plenty of water.
You can take Liv 52,which is a herbal preparation that can have protective effects on the liver.

Hope this helps.
I'll be glad to address your further queries
Take care

Hi welcome
Presently it is not very bad but if you don't stop taking alcohol including beer it may progress to cirrhosis which is not at all good sign.

Presently I would refrain from taking alcohol in any form for six months.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
Fatty liver is usually associated with hepatomegaly. It will reduce with the above mentioned measures. Also I would suggest you to avoid smoking it also a risk factor for cirrhosis. Some degree of spleen enlargement is noted.

Alcohol addiction: self motivation is very important. There are a few agents that will be beneficial like to prevent craving disulfiram can be helpful. To prevent withdrawal like symptoms benzodiazepines like lorazepam can be used.
You may obtain a prescription for this from your local doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
