Question: I woke up with my blood pressure at 145/104. Took bystolic 5mg and a water pill. It went down to 104/91 after 1hr.. Should I be concerned?

You have nothing to worry about. What you have experienced was a slight BP elevation that was quickly treated with bystolic.

I recommend to:
- avoid salty food
- reduce alcohol
- increase physical therapy
- add an ACE-i such as ramipril to your therapy
This measures are done in order to control better your BP.
