Brief Answer:
need medication or altered doses if already taking

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

These readings are stage 2 hypertensive readings.

Your readings need to be confirmed by your doctor.

You should take your machine so that the machine in the office and your own can be compared.
If the readings are similar then you would know that whenever you check your blood pressure the readings are accurate.

If these high readings are confirmed then your doctor will likely suggest the use of medication to help bring them down.
At these levels, even though lifestyle changes and relaxation would help, medication is needed to control the readings.

If you are already on medications then they would need to be altered.

Lifestyle changes include reducing salt intake, exercising at least 150 minutes weekly.
There is a diet called the D.A.S.H diet that is specific for hypertension. Generally it involves reducing salt intake, increasing use of potassium/ calcium, reducing alcohol intake, using fruits and vegetables, reducing use of saturated fats
More info on this diet can be found online

Brief Answer:
likely need medication

Detailed Answer:
HI

You would likely need to take blood pressure medication since the readings remain high.
Blood pressure medication would lower these readings. Unfortunately there is no supplement or herbal treatment that will work as well especially since the readings are not just slightly increased.

As mentioned before, they are in the higher stage of blood pressure.

It would be best to see your doctor tomorrow. He or she will check the readings in the office and if the high readings are confirmed, suggest treatment.
If you are already on medication then the dose would need to be altered or additional medication added.

Though the readings are high, the complications of high blood pressure such as stroke or heart attack occur if a person has uncontrolled readings for a long period of time.
No complications are likely till you can see your doctor tomorrow or in the coming week.

Please feel free to ask anything else

Brief Answer:
if still high after 2 days, need re assessment

Detailed Answer:
HI

In most cases there is no specific cause for the high blood pressure. Tests are only done if high blood pressure is found in persons who are thought to be too young for high blood pressure (children, adults in twenties).

It can take 24 to 48 hours before there is any decrease in blood pressure. Because your readings are in stage 2, you may need at least 2 medications but this can be assessed by your doctor.

If your readings are still high (above 140/90) after 2 days of using the medication then you need to consider going back to your doctor to see if a second medication can be added

There are many persons with high blood pressure who need 2 or more medications for control.

If anything else is unclear, feel free to ask
