Question : Hi,My mother was taking 50 mg thyroid medicine for long and stopped it for 3 months as per doc suggestion after following report.
13/7/13
T3:1.4 mg/ml
T4:10.80 µg/dl
TSH:0.25 µIU/ml
In the recent test done on 12/4/14.TSH is high again.
T3:2.94 pg/ml
T4:0.65 ng/dl
TSH:16.02 ulu/ml

What should she do now?How much medicine is suitable for her?

kindly ask her to restart the medicine with 37.5 mcg. Thyroid problem is a long term issue and she might require life time replacement.
