High antistreptolysin level indicate on going streptococci infection or post infection level.

To treat it you need to get blood culture done to know the antibiotic to which streptococci is sensitive and take the antibiotic course.

If you have already done this and taken antibiotics and right now don't have any signs of infection then no need to worry . In post infection state the high level is not significant and slowly it reduces.

Streptococci is an organism which can cause respiratory infection, skin infection etc.

There is only one test called blood culture. They take your blood around 5ml and culture it to see the growth of organism in that. If you have any open wound, culture of that discharge will be done. If you have cough with sputum then culture of sputum done.

When this organism infect it release streptolysin. When this is released body produce antistreptolysin.
