Brief Answer:
Possibility of stroke

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, Welcome to HCM.

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

High blood pressure and high cholesterol are the risk factors for stroke.

Heaviness in the tongue can be due to minor stroke or can be due to the paralysis of the nerve controlling the tongue.

I will suggest him to consult a neurologist for proper neurological examination, investigation and treatment accordingly.

Please let me know a few more things like is the numbness involving the whole tongue or any particular part, any problem swallowing food/drink, problem in speech, any other weakness in any part of body, any abnormal body movements or not.

I'm waiting for the answers to those questions , please let me know.

Please do get back for further queries.

Wishing you both good health.
Regards
Dr Neeraj Kumar
