Question: My fiance is a type 2 Diabetic....her last reading was 569...is this dangerous....should I call ambulance?...I have given her the correct amount of R Insulin and 70/30 Humulin...seems to still be rising....HELP!!!

you are concerned that her blood sugars are elevated. 560 is quite high and may indicate infection or other stress to her body. I recommend that she contact her doctor or be seen at an urgent care. An elevated blood sugar can eventually cause coma and need for intensive care.

I recommend that she be seen to find the cause of her elevated blood sugars.
