Suggest Treatment For High Blood Sugar Levels After Having Dinner
Question: Taking met foreman type 2 and Prandin. Am on 20 mg prednisone every other day for asthma. When blood sugar spiked to 285 after eating dinner should I do anything special or just stay on routines?

Noted your concern. How long have you been taking prednisone for and how many days more ?
Prandin alone may not effectively control prednisone induced high sugar spike. When you take prednisone in the morning, sugars start spiking from noon onwards. The best way is to take a morning dose of Glimeperide or a basal insulin to reduce prednisone induced spike in blood sugar later in the day.
