Brief Answer:
not determined yet...

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

your measurements are on the borderline so it's not easy to say whether it's diabetes or prediabetes. An oral glucose tolerance test should settle this. The glucosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) would be very helpful as well.

Before doing any test, make sure that your thyroid is under control because it may affect your blood sugar. Also, regarding your family history, type 2 diabetes is more likely to occur to individuals with diabetic parents. With 2 diabetic parents, you get an almost 50% chance to get type 2 diabetes (a little less to be more accurate).

What you should do:
- check your thyroid
- if your thyroid is OK, then do the oral glucose tolerance test and HbA1c.
- the next step depends on the previous one... so please contact me again, when you have the results.
Until you proceed with the aforementioned action plan (and for the rest of your life!) you should try to adopt a healthy lifestyle which includes a healthy diet, daily physical activity and body weight control.

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
