what are the side effects of pivasta?
Need to know your lipid profile
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for your query.
pivasta 4 mg is prescribed now.Is it a good medicine? what are the side effects of pivasta? Pivasta is pitavastatin and is a relatively less known drug in lipid lowering agents. It is known to cause muscle pain, back pain, constipation or diarhea in some patients. Atorvastatin and simvastatin are better known drugs butthey can also cause similar side effects.
can I lower the level without medicine? Yes you have to take dietary restrictions and avoid fatty foods like butter, ghee, cheese, sweets, chocolates, etc. You also need to exercise daily for atleast 20 min a day. Dietary restriction is enough if LDL levels < 190. Thus I need to know your lipid profile to comment further on the question.
Hope it helps.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

 No you don't need medicines.
Detailed Answer:
There is dyslipidemia but according to recommendations you don't need lipid lowering medicines. You have not mentioned your blood pressure and blood sugar levels. But if any of these values are raised then you will need lipid lowering therapy.
In practice these medicines are taken without any adverse effects by many people, so it is your choice. If you want you can take it for 2 weeks to 1 month and re-check the levels.

main worry is will the medicines cause any irreversible damage to live or any other organs..(statins)
Liver damage is mostly recversible
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Normal bp and sugar is reassuring.
It does not cause liver damage in everyone. So you ave to try it to see if it will cause liver damage in you. Most of the times liver damage is reversible.
