Question : My Wife traveled in the flight for 21 odd hours and she is jet lagged, She reached here in US on Sunday morning and starting Monday night (yesterday night). She took NyQuil before she slept and now in the morning 5:00 Am when I checked temperature she got a fever of 102.2 degree. Is it due to Jet-lag?
There was some one in front of her seat with high fever and cough not sure she got it from her in the flight?
I gave her Morting IB 200 mg for now, what should I do? Should we go to a doc ? I have a kid she is 4 years and I am worried.

Brief Answer:
Yes, you should consult a doctor.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. Jet lag does not cause high fever. Extreme fatigue can cause fever.
2. It is possible to get an Infection on a long flight.
3. You should consult a doctor. There can be many reasons for such a fever.
4. Medication can be started under medical supervision and routine blood tests with clinical examination will help. Prophylactic medication can be started for your child.
5. Contact the airline for information about other passengers (including the one in the seat in front) depending on the flight route.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
