Question : Hi my 7 year old son has had a fever on and off since last night. He had a temp of 103.8 at 5:00pm and i gave him motrin. It is still 102.4. When should i worry

Hello,
Thanks for posting the query to HCM,

If the fever is only from yesterday night Then give SYR IBRUGESIC 6ml 8 hourly. This is to be given only when fever is only more than 100 F. If fever is less than 100 F then give him calpal syrup 6 ml 6 hourly.

When ever there is increase in temperature the first treatment should be taped sponging using lukewarm water.

If the fever doesn't reduce by 3 days then consult the doctor.
