Question : I am having suger 256 fasting and taking gamer 2 twice

Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you.
The fact remains that the sugars are not well controlled. The fasting blood sugar should be less than 120 preferably. Maximum 150 should be permitted. I think the addition of further medicines may help you.
I think I would be able to make a good suggestion. I think you should start on metformin. Usually initiated in the dose of 500 mg. A sustained release tablet like glycomet sr 500 or any other similar brand can be initiated. Since it is a prescribed medication you need to discuss about this with your doctor. So consult your doctor as soon as possible.
In addition, continuing sugar charting is s good idea as well. If in 15 days the sugar doesn't improve the medicine can be stepped up.
Sugar charting can continue using glucometer.
