Question: Hi Doctor,
I had written to you in the past to ask about my father.
He is suffering from sensation,numbness,burning feeling in legs. Sugar is bit high.
He is on gabapentin (twice a day) and other blood pressure medicines.
attached are the reports of his test.
He is not feeling relieved with this medication,please suggest something.

Blood sugar is still on the higher side. Please discuss with his diabetologist regarding the same.
Regarding his diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN), causing burning, numbness and tingling, he can use pregabalin capsules.
The common brand includes Lyrica and Pregalin.
It can be used at a dose of 75 mg twice daily, and dose can be increased depending on the response.
