Question : 58 yr old female. Have back problems from S1-t2. Fractured it several years ago. Hips hurt now and right knee is swollen and hurts to bear weight and extend. Would this be osteoarthritis or could it be something else? Can't do daily housework and difficult to stand for any length of time.

I would like to see your spine imaging/MRI report to guide you further regarding your back problems.

While,hips and knee pain with swelling of knee joint with worsening of pain on extension and weight bearing is probably arthritis.Most likely possibility is of osteoarthritis as it is the most common degenerative arthritis. I would suggest you to get examined by a Rheumatologist for hip and knee problems.
