Suggest Treatment For Hot Flashes, Fever And Intermittent Nausea

default
Posted on Tue, 30 Jun 2015
Question: 13 days ago I came down with significant nausea for 3 days with chills and hot flashes and no fever. I continued to have intermittent nausea every day. I also developed some raised blister like bumps (almost like a pimple) on my head, which have resolved. On about day 8 what looked like a pimple, showed up on my face (I normally have a very clear complexion) and although it is less red, it remains there, but now looks like a blister. Today is the first day that I haven't experienced nausea. This sounds like a virus to me, but I'd like your opinion. Last year I was dx with the Measles which created tiny blisters on my fingers. That is the only time I've had anything similar. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Suggestive of viral if no other symptoms other than you have mentioned.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Read and understood your history.
To recapitulate: Female/57 - nausea for 3 days along with chills and hot flashes, 13 days ago - no fever - resolved bumps on head - on day 8 blister on face - no nausea today - sounds like virus to your - last year Dx measles (viral) -

There are no other symptoms suggestive of any other disease ; if these are the only symptoms as you have explained, it is possibly viral. Every case of viral may not have fever.
The skin lesion is then called exenthema, and is self resolving.
Multivitamins do help for better recovery as is bed rest and the medicines you are already taking.
