Brief Answer:
Please confirm by dong an ultrasound scan and discuss with your a surgeon

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

You probably have a condition called hydrocele in which fluid accumulates in the scrotal sac surrounding the testis. This is confirmed by doing ultrasound scan and then it can be treated surgically and the excess fluid removed.

For the above procedure you have to consult a surgeon and then discuss regarding treatment after getting an ultrasound scan if you do not have one.

Hope your query is answered.

I seen a urology doctor approx. 2yrs. ago, he examined it and said fluid build up to a lineing inside the testicle and the lineing has to be removed along with the fluid. He would not give me a strait answer when I ask if just the fluid could be drained out. He said the fluid would just build back up. I said it took aprox. 30 years to get to this size, thus how long will it take to get back to this size and he would not answer? He never suggested a ultrasound scan. I have an appt. with another urologist this wednesday, so thank for the information.

Brief Answer:
Surgery involves removing the fluid and lining

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

It is true that the fluid cannot be drained with a proick and the lining has to be removed. This is a short duration surgery and can be done by your urologist. The ultrasound scan is for confirmation of the hydrocele and amount of fluid. Usually a hydrocele take years to develop and if you are having it for 30 years then is is almost surely a hydrocele. Please discuss with your urologist in detail on the surgicla procedure.

Hope your query is answered.
