Question : I am sweating constanly even in air conditioning.

                                    Brief Answer:
check your thyroid profile
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Sweating without any other complaints can most probably point towards presence of hyperthyroidism.
The metabolism of body increases in this condition which results in sweating even in cold environment.
I would advice you to check your thyroid profile for T3, T4 and TSH.
You can get back with me with the reports or consult your physician with the same.
Also, are you taking any regular medications for any condition like hypertension or diabetes or anything else? Kindly let me know if you are taking any.
Awaiting your reply.
If you have any questions kindly ask me back.
Thank you

Hello,
Thanks for following up with me.
Sorry for delayed reply, had been busy in hospital work.
As you mentioned that you have been taking prednisone for 30 yrs, its unlikely reason for the present condition as if didn't showed any effects in 30 yrs, its unlikely to show effects now.
Yes, but adrenal hyperplasia is known to cause sweating as it results in increased mineralocorticoids secretions.
I also hope you have not developed symptoms of cushing's syndrome. Kindly consult your doctor to rule out the same.
So, I would advice you the following-
1. Get your thyroid profile checked as I mentioned in previous reply to rule out hyperthyroidism.
2. Adrenal hyperplasia itself can cause increased sweating. So confirm with your doctor whether prescribed dosage of steroids is enough or not.
I hope this advice will be satisfactory for you.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask me.
Thank you
