Question : I am a retired army brigadier of 66 yrs of age. Have been hypertension patient for last 20 yrs or so. Post kargil war ,may be due to injuries or otherwise I started getting actopics which were found to be benign. I was put on amolodipine alonwith attenelol. but due to swelling in feet I was put on Tenoric 50 (morning) & Telma 80 alongwith Ambulux 0.25 (at night) I was also prescribed Zeevast 10 daily at night to keep my chlestrol under check. My height is 7 ft & 8 inches ,weight - 83 kg. Previously it used to be 97 kgs. May be due to wt reduction & exercise , less alcohol, due reduced heart rate (64 pulse) I again started having actopics, the cardiologist(different one) has now prescribed Olmazest 20 (once a day in morning) Kindly advise if this medicine is Ok as compared to other ones ( my random blood sugar level is 106) & levels of sodium& potassium Ok. No other problem.
Brief Answer:
Medications are good
Detailed Answer:
Hello Brigadier Sir,
Accept my Salute, my national hero.
Thanks for your query.
You are on right medication now. Please continue as advised by your doctor. The revision of medications by your doctor is on right track.
I would suggest you to get your ectopics evaluated in detail with tests like Holter monitoring and a 2D ECHO. These tests provide useful information about your heart particularly the type of rhythm disturbance occurring with ectopics and the ejection fraction as your pulse is low.
This information if provided I can assure your heart wellbeing.
Hope, I answered your query.
