Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Thanks for writing.
I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
You have been taking allergy meds and all but i am afraid these wont help you , like i can guess they wouldnt have helped you uptil now.
This i actually a very common thing that happens in people with hypothyroid, this in my opinion is NOT due to allergy or infection this is due to your long standing hypothyroidism.
In people with hypothyroid... soft tissue keeps collecting at places like one gets XXXXXXX weight heavy around eyes heavy belly and legs, same way material is also deposited on vocal / voice cords in our throat which get heavy and cant move well when we speak so voice gets hoarse. If you read on the internet you will know thay hoarsness of voice is really really common feature of hypothyroidism.
There is no immediate cure of this, you will have to control your thtroid levels and with time this deposit will get cleared off and you will get back your voice.
Don't panic I would suggest you to see your medicine specialist as soon as possible he might want to run some tests to see what are hormone levels and what treatmenr should be started. It may take months to get this thing better.
I hope this answered you question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.
Regrads.
Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
