Question : I am having fast heart rate but normal blood pressure and feeling tired and a little lightheaded. What could it be. Getting an appointment for cardiac evaluation that may take several weeks. Is it okay to wait?
Brief Answer:
Yes,for now
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
If there is just fast heart rate with normal blood pressure then it doesn't sound to me like an emergency, however if this is associated with chest pain, irregular heart beats, breathing difficulties or fainting then you should visit ER. Also, if there is progressive fatigue with breathlessness you should see doctor. Otherwise, try to avoid excessive physical activity, alcohol, smoking, coffee and emotional stress till your scheduled evaluation. Wish you good health. Regards
