Question : My father have removed a lymph node on his head and now is two week and he got infection after operation, What is the best medicine to have this heal right??
Brief Answer:
Can you send me a better picture?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The picture that is attached with this query is not very clear. Based on what I see, I don't find significant signs of infection. But if the wound is weaping discharge it might be infected. In such cases I would start a broad spectrum antibiotic such as cefuroxime after taking a swab for culture and sensitivity.
Besides antibiotic therapy, I would order for regular cleaning and dressing say once in two days. If he has no history of diabetes or low immune state the wound should heal.
Send me a better picture and we can discuss further.
Regards
