Question: I am 83 years old and have an infection in my lower right eyelid.
I have been prescribed doxycycline.
What is the recommended dosage, and for how long ?

It seems from the history that you are having infection of the eye lid and you are prescribed with doxycycline tablets. For blepharitis, the prescribed dosage of doxycycline is 100mg twice daily for 10-14 days. If the infection is chronic and long standing one than treatment is continued for 4-8 weeks with decreased dosage.
