Since you are 74 years old it is utmost necessary for you to get your semen analysis done to know whether your sperm count ,morphology of the sperms ,motility of the sperms is within normal range for effective fertilization of female egg to result in to pregnancy.

Please get your wife examined by a qualified Gynaecologist to find know whether she has her menstrual cycle regular with normal ovulation.
